About Lauren Martin
Lauren A. Martin grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, the daughter of an art gallery owner and a circuit court judge. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Washington and Lee University in 2013, then spent two years as a ranch wrangler in Wyoming before returning to earn her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2018. After graduation, she clerked for a Danville Circuit Court judge, then practiced criminal defense before focusing on plaintiff personal injury work. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and North Carolina, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2025 and has published in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association Journal on the topic of charitable immunity. Her practice covers catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability.
