About Janeen Smith
Janeen Smith is a personal injury lawyer at Butler Kahn who focuses on complex cases involving roadway defects, truck wrecks, medical malpractice, fires, explosions, electrocution, toxic exposure, severe burns, and wrongful death. She began her career defending large corporations and insurance companies, gaining insight into how insurers investigate and evaluate claims. After handling several pro bono plaintiff cases, she discovered her preference for plaintiffs' work and joined Butler Kahn. Janeen grew up in Fort Pierce, Florida, and earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University. She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was a member of the moot court society, received the Graduating Woman of Excellence recognition, and won a Medal for Excellence in Advocacy at a national moot court competition. She is also a graduate of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association's LEAD Program.
