About Jillian Roy

Jillian grew up in Topeka, Kansas, the oldest of two. She graduated from Washburn University with a political science degree. At Washburn, Jillian competed on the debate team and studied election campaigns abroad in London, England. After college, Jillian attended the University of Kansas School of Law on a full-ride scholarship.

During law school, Jillian was on the Moot Court Council, received the CALI Award for Excellence in Public Policy Practicum, and earned a certificate in Trial Advocacy. Jillian also served as a student attorney for the Douglas County Legal Aid, and spent summers clerking at DeVaughn James. When she's not at work, Jillian enjoys hanging out with her dog Jeremiah, trying new restaurants, and watching KU basketball.
