About Victor Bergman
Victor A. Bergman is an experienced trial lawyer who has been with Shamberg, Johnson & Bergman, Chtd. and its predecessors for his entire legal career. As of counsel, Vic limits his caseload to approximately 10 cases at a time so every client receives full attention and resources. He spent 30 years representing children and families in obstetrical malpractice and birth injury cases, proving in court the connection between medical malpractice during labor and delivery and cerebral palsy and death. Vic was also a national figure in the legal fight for women injured by toxic shock syndrome, proving the connection between TSS and highly absorbent tampons, which resulted in Procter & Gamble paying an undisclosed settlement. He has extensive experience in truck accident litigation as well as product liability and environmental cases. Vic earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1971, and his J.D. with Order of the Coif honors from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1975. He has been listed in America's Best Lawyers every year since 1987 and was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1998, an honor reserved for the top 1% of trial lawyers nationwide.
