About Hyemin Byun

Hyemin began her career as a public defender, advocating for those who could not afford legal representation. During this time, she gained invaluable courtroom experience and learned how to approach cases with great compassion. She finds it extremely rewarding to help those who would otherwise go unheard or forgotten. At DM Injury Law, Hyemin takes the time to listen to her clients' concerns so that she can address them early on.

She is thorough in compiling workers' comp claims, which only serves to increase her chances of success. She also takes care to explain the law and process in comprehensive yet understandable terms to every single client. Hyemin grew up in Junction City, Kansas. She is the daughter of two immigrants and has a sister in the Army National Guard.

Her family works closely with the military, as well. Thus, she has a genuine appreciation for our nation's service members. She earned her B.A. in applied behavioral sciences, with a minor in business, at the University of Kansas before finding her true calling at the Washburn University School of Law.

Outside the office, Hyemin loves spending time with her friends and going to new restaurants or to live concerts in the Kansas City metro area. She also likes to attend sporting events, especially to cheer on the Chiefs. On the weekend, you may find her hiking outside and enjoying the weather.
