Anthony M. Cognetti

Anthony M. Cognetti is a trial attorney at Gilman & Bedigian focusing on complex medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases. Before joining the firm, he worked at two prominent regional defense firms in Philadelphia representing corporations and insurance companies in personal injury, automobile accidents, wrongful death, and premises liability matters. That defense background gives him a detailed understanding of how the opposing side builds, assesses, and values a case. He holds a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Health Services from Saint Joseph's University, where he competed on the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse team and was a member of the Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity. He earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Land and Development and was a recipient of the Dean Citation Award. After graduation he clerked for the Honorable Christopher L. Panos, Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Justinian Society.
