About Robert Goings
Robert F. Goings founded the firm and has built a reputation as one of the leading trial lawyers in South Carolina over more than two decades of practice. He has secured some of the largest jury verdicts in state history, including a $12.5 million jury verdict (with $9 million in punitive damages) for a client injured by a drunk driver -- one of the highest non-fatality auto accident verdicts in Richland County history -- and a $5 million wrongful-death medical malpractice verdict in 2024. Raised on a dairy farm in Union County, Robert brings values of fairness, honesty, and hard work to every case. He graduated summa cum laude from Wofford College in 2003, received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2006 (earning the Claude Sapp Award), and has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Top 10 attorney in South Carolina and Trial Lawyer of the Year by ABOTA's South Carolina Chapter. He is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and a member of ABOTA's national board. Robert also serves as a resource for other attorneys handling complex, high-stakes personal injury and wrongful death cases across South Carolina.
