Barry Goodman

Barry J. Goodman is the Founding Partner of Goodman Acker P.C., a dedicated personal injury attorney and advocate for civil justice reform.

Goodman earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Stetson University College of Law in 1977 and his undergraduate degree from Bradley University in 1974. He is admitted to the State Bars of Michigan and Florida.

Goodman began his legal practice in Florida around 1977-1979, then moved to Michigan, and co-founded his current practice in 1993. His honors include the National Association of Distinguished Counsel Top One Percent (2019), National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Personal Injury (2019), Michigan Lawyers Weekly 2021 Hall of Fame, AVVO 10.0 Superb, and Martindale-Hubbell AV. He has been a Super Lawyer since 2008. He is a former president of the Michigan Association for Justice and past chair of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Section. He secured a $14.5 million arbitration award in 2001 for a client injured by a faulty manhole cover.
