About Jason Downey
Jason Downey earned his B.A. in Communication Studies from Marshall University in 2000 and his J.D. from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 2003. He has nearly 20 years of trial experience across Georgia in personal injury, previously working at the Macon office of Morgan and Morgan, as in-house counsel for Allstate Insurance Company, as a sole practitioner, and as a Certified Civil and Domestic Georgia Mediator with South Georgia ADR. He has been appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve as Chairman of the Georgia State Board of Education, representing the 8th Congressional District, and earlier served on the Macon-Bibb County Board of Education. He is based at the Macon office.
