About Omar Chawdhary
Omar Chawdhary is a Houston-based personal injury trial lawyer and partner at Kherkher Garcia who focuses on trucking accidents, oilfield accidents and explosions, workplace injuries, and wrongful death. A Houston native, he earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2012. He attended the Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming in 2016, a 24-day program founded by Gerry Spence. Omar has tried 13 cases to verdict and helped secure hundreds of millions in settlements and verdicts, including a $55 million settlement and cases with $10 million and $11.8 million oilfield wrongful death settlements. In March 2023, he won a $1,975,000 verdict in Villatoro v. Texas Outlaw Recovery Wrecker Services, a trucking case with spinal injuries. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2017 to the present and was selected to the Top 100 Up-and-Coming Attorneys in Texas on three occasions.
