About Margaret Stansell

Margaret Stansell is a trial lawyer in Langdon & Emison's complex torts division, representing individuals and families seriously injured by defective products and commercial vehicles. Her practice focuses on product liability, trucking and commercial motor vehicle crashes, and other catastrophic personal injury matters. Before joining Langdon & Emison, she gained courtroom experience in private civil litigation and at the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, as well as through an internship with a Missouri state judge. She has handled all phases of civil litigation including factual investigation, written discovery, depositions, and motion practice, and briefed and argued a case before the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. Margaret attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law on a full-tuition scholarship and earned multiple young trial lawyer awards. She is the author of 'The Need for The Equal Rights Amendment,' 89 UMKC L. Rev. 779 (2021), and is active in the Association for Women Lawyers of Greater Kansas City, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
