About James Hoy

After law school, he clerked for North Dakota Supreme Court Justice Dale V. Sandstrom before joining the firm. He has served as a past president of the North Dakota Association for Justice, past chairperson of the Pattern Jury Instruction Commission, and currently chairs the North Dakota Federal Practice Committee. In 2021, he received the State Bar Association of North Dakota Community Service Award after the Kindred boys' basketball team won its first state championship. In 2025, he was inducted into the West Fargo High School Hall of Fame.
