Robert T. Szostak has more than 34 years of experience representing victims of catastrophic injury and death, handling matters from initial client consultation through the appellate process. His practice covers medical professional negligence, product liability, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, amusement park liability, construction and workplace injury, false imprisonment, insurance bad faith, fraud, defamation, governmental immunity, highway design defects, explosion, traumatic brain injury, and other forms of professional negligence. He has served as lead trial or co-trial counsel in more than 35 jury trials. A graduate of Brown University (B.A., 1976) and Widener University School of Law (J.D., 1982), he ranked in the top 5 percent of Pennsylvania medical malpractice lawyers by Philadelphia Magazine and has held a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent peer review rating for over 10 years. He has been a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer since 2008. He chaired the Philadelphia Bar Association State Civil Litigation Section for three years, served on its Board of Governors and Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention, and is an Alumni Trustee at La Salle College High School.
