About Mitchell Kohl

Mitchell Kohl holds both an M.D. and a J.D., bringing clinical medical knowledge directly into personal injury and medical malpractice cases. A Nebraska native, he earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences summa cum laude from Arizona State University, his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine after completing a Family Medicine residency, and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for excellence in patient care during his residency.

Before joining Rensch and Rensch, Mitchell served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado's 18th Judicial District, where he led the Speed Contest Task Force and prosecuted thousands of cases from traffic offenses to serious felonies. He also worked at a large personal injury firm in Colorado, at McKeen and Associates in Detroit, and at Kline and Specter in Philadelphia, applying his medical expertise to complex injury and malpractice cases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Legal Medicine (FCLM) and is admitted to practice in Nebraska, Colorado, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska.
