About Richard Weinbaum

Richard C. Weinbaum grew up in Edison, New Jersey. He graduated cum laude from Grinnell College in Iowa in 1981 with a major in biology, then earned his J.D. cum laude from New York Law School in 1985. He was admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars in 1986 along with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Richard began his career in Brooklyn concentrating in plaintiff-side personal injury and medical malpractice, where he was instrumental in several million-dollar settlements for children born with cerebral palsy and helped obtain court approval of one of the earliest Supplemental Needs Trusts in New York. He later served as managing attorney for a firm headed by a past president of the Brooklyn Bar Association, handling labor law, products liability, motor vehicle, and premises liability matters. Since joining MetroLaw.com in 2003, he has been involved in all aspects of the firm's caseload, including automobile accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, products liability, and wrongful death. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity. His practice is 90% negligence and personal injury, with 10% PIP/no-fault matters, and 100% devoted to litigation.
