About Robert Solomon

Robert A. Solomon was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1977 with a major in history, then earned his J.D. from Drake University School of Law in Des Moines, Iowa in 1979. He was admitted to practice in New York in 1980, including before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and in New Jersey in 1982. Robert built a personal injury practice beginning in 1980 and has handled personal injury and wrongful death cases exclusively since 1985.

He is a sustaining member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America) and a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Notable results include a $2.5 million settlement for the widow and children of a welder killed in an oil terminal explosion, a $1.575 million recovery for a survivor of the 1990 Avianca Airlines crash near Kennedy Airport, a $725,000 jury verdict for a longshoreman who developed post-traumatic stress disorder after being struck by a tractor-trailer, and a $500,000 settlement for a truck driver who suffered closed head injuries from an unmarked railroad overpass. He has also successfully litigated and appealed cases before New Jersey appellate courts on behalf of injured motorists.
