About Brent Cordell
Brent Cordell is a board-certified personal injury trial lawyer at Smith & Hassler. He earned his B.A. in economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in 1999, graduating as a member of the Order of Barristers, a national honor society for courtroom advocates. During law school, he received the Dean's Outstanding Advocate Award, was a finalist in the American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Competition (1999), won the National Moot Court Competition (Association of the Bar of New York) in 1999, and won the Texas Young Lawyers Association State Moot Court Competition in 1998. He practices exclusively in personal injury law, handling car accidents, truck accidents, products liability, premises liability, insurance bad faith, and work-related accidents. He is licensed in Texas and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, and is a member of the American, Texas, and Houston bar associations, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Christian Trial Lawyers Association.
