About Joseph Flannery
Joseph Flannery joined Spangenberg Shibley & Liber in April 2025, bringing experience on both sides of personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. He started his career as a plaintiff's lawyer before moving to the defense side, where he represented doctors and hospitals in malpractice cases involving emergency medicine, obstetrics, and surgery at Reminger Co. LPA and The Becker Law Firm. Returning to plaintiff-side work at Spangenberg, he focuses on medical malpractice cases including catastrophic birth injuries, medication errors, and surgical complications. Joe understands that beyond achieving justice, his work often helps clients understand what happened to them or their loved ones. He graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2018 and earned his undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2015.
