About Peter Brodhead
Peter J. Brodhead has been with Spangenberg Shibley & Liber since 1980, becoming a partner that same year after clerking for Judges Carroll and Hanna in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court. Over more than four decades, he has handled a broad range of cases involving traumatic injury and disease from toxic exposure, including asbestos-related illness, benzene and vinyl chloride cancer claims, metalworking fluid respiratory disease, and pharmaceutical injuries. He served as Plaintiffs' Liaison Counsel in Federal MDL 1909 (In Re Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agent Product Liability Litigation) and has litigated vehicular and trucking collision cases, civil rights excessive force matters, and pharmaceutical mass tort cases involving Fosamax, Actos, and Tylenol. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall School of Law in 1979 and his B.A. in History from Denison University in 1976. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Society of Barristers, and served as President of the Ohio Association for Justice from 2003 to 2004.
