About Glenda Hatchett

Glenda Hatchett is Of Counsel at Stewart Miller Simmons Trial Attorneys. A graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and Emory University School of Law (Earl Warren Scholar), she completed a federal clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She then spent nearly 10 years at Delta Air Lines as its highest-ranking woman of color worldwide, serving as Senior Attorney in labor, antitrust, and commercial litigation and as Public Relations Manager overseeing global crisis management for 50 U.S. cities, Europe, and Asia. She left Delta to become Chief Presiding Judge of Fulton County Juvenile Court, becoming the first African-American Chief Presiding Judge of a state court in Georgia and head of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country. She was the founder of The Hatchett Firm, P.C., which specialized in catastrophic injuries, wrongful deaths, tractor-trailer accidents, premises liability, and police misconduct cases. She is a member of the Georgia Bar and the District of Columbia Bar, has served on the boards of three Fortune 500 companies (HCA, The Gap, and ServiceMaster), and is the presiding judge of the nationally syndicated court series Judge Hatchett. She received the NAACP's Thurgood Marshall Award and the State Bar of Georgia's Social Justice Advocacy and Action Award, among numerous other honors.
