About John Fitch

John Fitch is the principal and founder of The Fitch Law Firm, based in Columbus, Ohio. He has practiced personal injury law for over thirty years, handling hundreds of complex damage cases including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death matters arising from automobile accidents, medical negligence, and product liability. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating possible, and holds a 10/10 Superb rating from AVVO. On November 20, 2019, he obtained a $134 million verdict on behalf of a sexual abuse survivor in Cuyahoga County, believed to be one of the largest personal injury verdicts in Ohio history.

Over his career he has secured many recoveries in excess of one million dollars. Fitch obtained his law degree from the University of Dayton Law School and his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University. He served as president of the Central Ohio Association for Justice from 1995 to 1996, sat on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Association for Justice from 1992 to 2002, and is a member of the National Trial Lawyers, the American Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, and the Columbus Bar Association. He is also the author of the Ohio Guide Book for Auto Accident Victims and has authored and presented CLE materials on product liability and personal injury litigation.
