About Joy Day

Joy Day has held a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, the highest rating possible, since 2004 and has been named a Mid-South Super Lawyer every year since 2009 -- a recognition given to only five percent of lawyers in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. She is licensed in state and federal courts in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan, and has actively handled cases in each of those jurisdictions. Joy is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator. With more than 150 trial days to her credit, Joy has significant experience in high-exposure, complex cases. She is a past President of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society and served for six years on the Tennessee Commission for Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, where she was elected Treasurer and then Chair. Joy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association's Leadership Law Program. She is a founding member of Belmont University's American Inn of Courts and a member of the John Marshall American Inn of Court, and holds active bar memberships in Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and Nashville. Joy is married to John Day.
