About Stephen Charpentier
Stephen G. Charpentier leads the Maher Law Firm's Brevard County operations through his own firm, Charpentier Law Firm, P.A., serving Melbourne, Titusville, and Cocoa for over 40 years. Mr. Charpentier came to Brevard County in 1965, obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida, and then earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1981, passing the bar immediately upon graduation. He worked for an established Brevard County civil litigation firm for two years before opening his own practice. Mr. Charpentier has been active in the Brevard Bar Foundation, served as President of the Brevard County Bar Association in 2005-2006, and chaired the Brevard County Legislative Task Force from 1999 to 2009. He is a former chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee for Brevard County, is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Supreme Court, and holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. He received the Eagle Talon Award from the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers in 1990, 1994, and 1997, and the Silver Eagle Award in 2000. He is also a co-founder and co-moderator of the People's Law School and served on the Board of Trustees for Eastern Florida State College from 2008 to 2015.
