Paula Sweeney

Paula Sweeney joined Aldous Law as Of Counsel in 2026 following a legal career spanning more than four decades. She began her career at the Law Offices of Windle Turley and went on to form Howie and Sweeney, L.L.P. and Misko, Howie and Sweeney, L.L.P., before serving as Partner and Of Counsel at Slack Davis Sanger for more than a decade. She has tried complex, high-stakes cases involving catastrophic injury, professional negligence, and nursing malpractice across Texas. She holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Dallas, cum laude, and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University. Her recognitions include Champion of Justice from Texas Watch, the Don Bowen Lifetime Dedication Award from the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Trial Lawyer of the Year from the Dallas Bar Association, Legend of Trial Law from the Dallas Bar Association, Texas Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America, and a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. She has held numerous leadership roles in state and national trial lawyer organizations and contributed to the development of Texas trial practice and continuing legal education.
