Background

Pawel P. Wierzbicki is a Partner at Block O'Toole & Murphy in New York City, where he focuses on construction accidents, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and Workers' Compensation matters. He joined the firm as an associate in 2019 and was elevated to Partner in June 2023 at age 32, the youngest partner in the firm's history. A U.S. citizen born in Chicago and raised in Poland, Pawel earned his Doctor of Law (J.D. equivalent) from the University of Warsaw in 2014, then completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Florida's Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 2015. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 2017. Bilingual in English and Polish, he is well known in New York's Polish-American community for representing immigrant construction workers. Pawel's results include a $10 million settlement in 2024 for an asbestos abatement worker injured when a wall collapsed at a Manhattan construction site — the second-highest construction accident settlement in New York State that year — a $9.75 million settlement in 2023 for a Polish-American carpenter who fell from a baker scaffold, and an $8.75 million settlement in 2022 for an undocumented Polish immigrant injured in a ladder fall. He has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star every year from 2021 through 2025, a National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 in 2020, 2021, and 2026, and a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in 2026.
