Michael Thelen

Michael Thelen joined Carr & Carr after relocating to the Tulsa area in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, he represented a wide array of clients, from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. Michael has advocated for hundreds of clients against insurers in cases involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, dog bites, life insurance disputes, and other types of injuries.

He was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, by attorney parents, and attended Creighton University in Omaha, graduating with a degree in Financial Analysis, followed by his law degree from Creighton University School of Law. After law school, he worked in Chicago at a bankruptcy start-up, in management at a legal services consulting firm, and at a boutique firm representing insurance companies in complex corporate bankruptcy proceedings. He currently serves on the Tulsa County Bar Association Board of Directors.
