About Michael Barber
Michael D. Barber graduated from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011 and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. He began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Orange County, Florida, where he litigated approximately 60 trials across matters ranging from misdemeanors to murder charges. He transitioned to private practice in 2013 and founded the Law Office of Michael D. Barber in 2019, merging that practice with Colling Gilbert Wright in 2026. His practice focuses on personal injury litigation and education law litigation. He has served ten years on the Orange County Young Lawyer Section board, including as Secretary, Treasurer, and President, and has served on the Orange County Bar Association board since 2021. On the state level, he serves on Florida Bar committees including the Education Law Committee, Advertising Committee, and Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. He has been recognized as a Rising Stars selection since 2015.
