About Ronald Gilbert
Ronald S. Gilbert was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1958 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Furman University. He received his J.D. from Samford University Cumberland School of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1983. He began his career in insurance defense, representing automobile insurers in Orlando, then shifted to representing injured plaintiffs and their families exclusively in 1986, with an emphasis on medical malpractice. Gilbert is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, has been selected to Super Lawyers 17 times (including the Top 50 Orlando list), holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and is a member of ABOTA. He is admitted to all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Florida District Courts of Appeal, and the Florida Supreme Court. He co-founded Colling Gilbert Wright in 2005 after years as a name partner at Morgan Colling & Gilbert.
