About Steve Fleschner
Steve Fleschner is a founding partner of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin, which he helped establish in Terre Haute in 1988. The son of a coal miner and raised in a family of farmers and factory workers, he has built his career on standing up for working people and their families. Steve earned a Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University in 1971, his Juris Doctor with honors from Washburn University Law School, and a Master of Laws from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Terre Haute Bar Association, and the Indiana State Bar Association, as well as the American Association for Justice, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. Steve has been listed in multiple editions of the Best Lawyers in America, named among America's Top Lawyers, selected for the Top 100 Trial Lawyers list by the American Trial Lawyers Association, and recognized by Indiana Super Lawyers. He holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell and is a College of Fellows member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association. A founding member of Guys Who Give and past president of the Terre Haute Family YMCA, he also volunteers as a teen court judge and youth basketball coach.
