
About Mark Weissburg
Mark Weissburg is a partner at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates who devotes his entire practice to workers' compensation. He earned a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1987 before a five-year career in Chicago's film and video production industry. He then earned his J.D. cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in 1995, where he served on the editorial board of the law review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. After law school he worked in Social Security disability before moving to workers' compensation. He is admitted to practice in Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He taught legal writing as an adjunct professor at The John Marshall Law School and authored the paperback How to Win a Worker's Compensation Claim in Illinois (2007). He has handled approximately 5,800 workers' compensation cases over his career.
