About Thomas Kelliher
Thomas A. Kelliher is a trial lawyer at Horwitz, Horwitz & Associates who has first-chaired more than 30 trials. Born in Santa Monica and raised in Arlington, Virginia, he earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. cum laude from The John Marshall Law School (1994). Before joining the firm, Tom spent years as an assistant corporation counsel in the torts division of the Chicago Law Department, winning 90 percent of the 29 jury cases he tried in that role. Since shifting to plaintiff work, he has won a number of jury verdicts exceeding $1 million. He serves as the firm's chief writer of appellate court briefs and has published on products liability design-defect standards in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Trial Journal. He is admitted in Illinois, Wisconsin, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
