Rob Kline

Rob Kline is a personal injury attorney with more than 25 years of legal experience who joined Johnston Law Firm after building a career representing injured individuals and families across Oregon. He began as a lawyer for insurance companies in personal injury litigation, then moved to a large firm representing corporate defendants, gaining direct knowledge of how insurers evaluate claims, build litigation strategies, and attempt to minimize financial exposure. He now uses that inside knowledge to advocate for injured people in negotiations and at trial. At Johnston Law Firm, Kline focuses on complex personal injury litigation including motor vehicle collisions, pedestrian and bicycle injuries, workplace injuries, wrongful death matters, and catastrophic injury cases. He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor for the Oregon Law Review, and received his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Kline has been recognized on the Oregon Super Lawyers list annually since 2019, holds an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and carries a 10 out of 10 Superb rating on Avvo. He received OTLA's Volunteer of the Year Award in 2015 and an Award of Merit from the Multnomah Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee in 2009. Kline served as President of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association from 2023 to 2024 and has been involved with OTLA since 2004. He is a lead author of the wrongful death and survival chapters in the Oregon State Bar publication Tort Law in Oregon (2024 edition) and has authored multiple Oregon pedestrian law guides for OTLA.
