
About Matt Martin
Matt Martin is a partner and trial lawyer at Kherkher Garcia who focuses on 18-wheeler accidents, oilfield accidents, explosions, and offshore accidents. Born and raised near Waco, Texas, he earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his J.D. from Baylor Law School, where he served as an Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review. He began his career at the oldest personal injury firm in Texas and within his first six years of practice recovered over $100 million in settlements. In October 2021, Matt, Steve Kherkher, and Kevin Haynes won a $1.85 million verdict (Chapman v. Super Dirty Recovery) for a plaintiff injured by an unlicensed tow truck driver. In 2024, he and Steve Kherkher recovered $90 million for the family of a minor in a wrongful death arising from a commercial vehicle collision.
