About Samuel Ledbetter

Sam Ledbetter has practiced environmental law and litigation since 1985 and has been a partner at McMath Woods since 1998. He represents individuals, communities, environmental organizations, and companies in cases involving air, surface water, and groundwater pollution, protection of Arkansas rivers and streams, downstream property damage from irresponsible development, and challenges to permits for facilities that pose environmental risks. He served in the Arkansas House of Representatives from 2001 to 2006 and on the Arkansas State Board of Education from 2008 to 2015. He chaired the Arkansas Bar Association Environmental Law Section in 1999 to 2000 and is a Fellow of the Arkansas Bar Foundation. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America annually since 1998 and in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2008.
