Tia Garcia

Tia Garcia is a senior associate working in the Personal Injury Department. She previously worked in medical malpractice and insurance defense, and now concentrates on securing compensation for injured clients. She also investigates COVID-related nursing home resident deaths in New York, pursuing negligence claims against facilities that failed to adopt critical safety protocols to protect at-risk residents. Representative results include a $290,000 settlement for the family of an elderly woman who contracted COVID-19 in a long-term care facility, and a $480,000 settlement for a nursing home resident who fell and suffered a broken arm. During law school at Case Western Reserve University, she helped reactivate the Hispanic Law Student Association. She earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University and her B.A. from the University of Cincinnati.
