Most of the clients who come to Nicolet Law are facing problems that could affect the rest of their lives. There’s no replacing what they’ve lost or erasing what they’ve been through. But what I try to do is work with our clients to find solutions that will help heal the broken pieces of their lives so that they can move forward. After obtaining a degree in history from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, I attended the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, I became involved in the school’s bankruptcy clinic program, where I represented low-income individuals in bankruptcy filings and proceedings. When I finished school and passed the bar, my first job was at a firm doing family law cases. I didn’t like the way families were so often pitted against one another, so I moved on to bankruptcy and social security disability cases to help families in a more tangible way. To be a good attorney, you have to enjoy learning. It’s the best way to always remain effective for your clients. So when I joined Nicolet Law, I began taking on personal injury cases, as well, working with the other attorneys to learn the best way to serve our clients. Personal injury cases may be the most rewarding types of cases I’ve done - both because each case presents a new challenge and problem to solve, and because I get to see immediate improvements in the quality of my clients’ lives when I start to work with them. Family is important to me. I have a wife, four children, and two dogs.
