About Patrick Wooten
Patrick Wooten is an attorney, military veteran, and community leader who has devoted more than 30 years to personal injury law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a minor in Military Science from Appalachian State University (1990) and his Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law in 1994, after which he was admitted to the Mississippi Bar. He was also admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 2023. Patrick served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for 24 years, retiring in 2014 as a Major. He earned the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Action Badge, and Army Commendation Medal during service that included a 2009 deployment to Afghanistan as Command Judge Advocate for the 168th Engineer Brigade. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Partner at Richard Schwartz & Associates. His awards include the 2025 Lawyer of the Year from Mississippi College School of Law, the Nation's Top One Percent Award, the 10 Best Attorneys Exceptional Client Service Award from the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys (2017-2024), National Trial Lawyers Top 100, and the Top 10 Trucking Trial Lawyers Award from the National Trial Lawyers. He is a member of the Mississippi Association for Justice, where he has served on the Board of Governors, the Mississippi Bar Association, and the Capital Area Bar Association.
