About Dennis Lansdowne

Dennis R. Lansdowne has been with Spangenberg Shibley & Liber since 1985, becoming a partner in 1990. He focuses on catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, with particular depth in medical malpractice, and he has represented hundreds of people harmed by hospital, physician, nursing home, and other healthcare negligence. Dennis is known for his ability to explain complex medicine to juries, a skill he developed in part by teaching a medical negligence course at his alma mater, Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He also handles insurance coverage disputes on behalf of insureds ranging from individuals to large corporations. Before joining Spangenberg, he clerked for Judge Robert B. Krupansky of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and was an associate at Jones Day. He graduated summa cum laude from Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1981 and earned his B.A. from Cleveland State University in 1977. He is a past president of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and a Master at the William K. Thomas Inn of Court.
