About Michael Lewis
Michael P. Lewis is a trial attorney whose practice includes medical malpractice, personal injury, police misconduct, and civil rights litigation. He joined Spangenberg Shibley & Liber in 2020 after practicing in Los Angeles with nationally recognized plaintiff's firm Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack. Michael has a history of large seven-figure recoveries across medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, construction defect, and traumatic brain injury cases. He has tried cases to verdict and represented clients in state and federal courts in Ohio and California, as well as in appellate courts in both states. He earned a Fulbright Scholarship and studied in Dresden, Germany from 2009 to 2010. He graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 2014 with several trial advocacy honors, including being a national finalist in the National Trial Competition. He earned his B.A. cum laude from Wake Forest University in 2009.
