
About John Treleven
John Treleven practices primarily in family law, divorce, and custody. He has represented clients in hundreds of trials, both jury and bench, and negotiated favorable settlements across those and other matters. John previously worked for Sirkin & Kinsley and the City of Cincinnati, and served in a part-time capacity as public defender for the Village of Mariemont and Clermont County. He graduated as a James Monroe Scholar from the College of William & Mary with a focus in economics, then received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati, where his classmates elected him Student Bar Association President. John received the Hon. Leslie Isaiah Gaines award for trial advocacy in 2016 and graduated from the Trial Practice Institute with the National Criminal Defense College that same year. He has been named to the Top 40 Under 40 by The National Trial Lawyers and recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Avvo has rated him as Superb for five consecutive years. John sits on the University of Cincinnati Law Alumni Board and serves on the board of the Cincinnati Athletic Club. He has served with the Appalachia Service Project for over 15 years and practices family law and divorce in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, and Clermont Counties.
