About Ellen Relkin
Ellen Relkin is a partner and practice-group chair in the Drugs and Medical Devices unit at Weitz & Luxenberg. She has spent more than three decades representing people injured by dangerous pharmaceutical products, medical devices, and toxic chemicals, arguing that manufacturers routinely prioritize profits over safety by inadequately testing products, failing to warn consumers, and delaying corrective action. She clerked for Hon. Sylvia Pressler, then Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court Appellate Division, from 1984 to 1985. Relkin is a former chair of the American Association for Justice's Section on Toxic, Environmental, and Pharmaceutical Torts, an elected member of the American Law Institute, and a Fellow of the American Civil Justice Institute. She received the New Jersey Association for Justice Gerald B. O'Connor Award for Professionalism in 2018. Her J.D. is from Rutgers University Law School (1984) and her B.A., cum laude in history with distinction, is from Cornell University (1980). She is admitted in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia, numerous federal district and circuit courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
