William Mattar

William Mattar is the founder of William Mattar Law Offices, described as New York State's largest motor vehicle accident law firm. From an early age, he knew he wanted to become a lawyer after watching his father, a lawyer in Western New York, help people through challenging moments in their lives. That early influence shaped his commitment to building a legal practice focused on helping people after serious motor vehicle accidents. Mattar earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 1986 and received his Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1988. After gaining experience at another law firm, he founded William Mattar in 1990 in Williamsville, New York. Over time, the firm narrowed its practice to focus exclusively on motor vehicle accident injury cases. With more than 35 years of experience, the firm has represented tens of thousands of people injured in motor vehicle accidents across New York State. Beyond his legal practice, Mattar is deeply committed to his community. He is an Eagle Scout and has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Niagara Frontier Council, serving as chairman of the annual dinner since 2002.
