Luis Haquia

Luis L. Haquia is a partner at Davis, Saperstein & Salomon, P.C. in Teaneck, NJ. A native of Cuba, he and his family moved to West New York, NJ when he was young. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney, a distinction held by fewer than 3% of all New Jersey licensed attorneys. Haquia has been a senior trial lawyer at the firm for over 20 years, concentrating his practice in personal injury law and trial work in both New Jersey and New York. He is a graduate of Memorial High School in West New York, earned his B.A. in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University, and received his law degree from Rutgers Law School-Newark. He is admitted in the state courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as the Federal District Courts of New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Many of his clients come from Northern New Jersey's Latino community, where Haquia has developed a strong reputation for securing successful settlements and verdicts. He was recognized in 2005 as 'Man of the Year' by La Tribuna, the newspaper of the Cuban-American community in the region, for his accomplishments and leadership.
