About Peter Gemma
Peter Gemma is a principal at Gemma Law Associates, Inc. and the elder son of founder Alfred J. Gemma. He grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, where his father had been practicing law since the 1960s. After receiving his B.A. in English from Clark University in 1987, Peter enrolled at Suffolk University Law School in Boston and earned his J.D. in 1990. He returned to Providence to join his father's firm, and seven years later his younger brother Mark followed. Peter's practice focuses on civil litigation, primarily personal injury, products liability, premises liability, automobile accidents, and construction accidents. Over the course of his career he has obtained numerous significant verdicts and settlements, many in the six- and seven-figure range. Peter is a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Justinian Law Society. He is licensed to practice in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Beyond his legal work, Peter volunteers with the McAuley House, SquashBusters, the Providence Little League, and the Ronald McDonald House.
