About Joan Tuers
Joan Tuers is committed to advocating for individuals facing life-changing injuries and overwhelming medical challenges. Her approach to the law is rooted in fairness and a desire to help those who may not otherwise have a voice in the legal system. Her goal in every case is to ensure clients feel heard, supported, and well represented. She studied glassblowing during her undergraduate years, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, before going on to receive her J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law. During law school she developed a strong interest in courtroom advocacy and began her career clerking for Judge Kawano on Maui. She then served as a Deputy Public Defender on Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. Outside the office, she continues to make art and enjoys time with friends and family on Oahu and Maui.
