Gary Patterson

Gary Patterson is the managing member of Patterson Legal Group, L.C. and has represented injured people for over 20 years. He grew up in Savannah, Missouri, earned his undergraduate degree at Missouri Western State University, and earned a master's degree in criminal justice at the University of Central Missouri. Before attending law school, he worked as a probation and parole officer for the State of Missouri. Gary earned his Juris Doctorate at Washburn University, where he graduated with honors and served on the Washburn Law Journal and Moot Court; while in law school, he clerked for the Kansas Department of Administration and the Shawnee County District Court. After graduating, he worked at a large Wichita civil litigation firm before leaving in early 1994 to found his own practice, which became Patterson Legal Group. Gary has been selected as one of the Top 100 Kansas Trial Lawyers by the American Trial Lawyers from 2009 to 2020 and has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyer in Kansas. He has successfully litigated wrongful death, medical malpractice, and automotive product liability cases and has recovered millions of dollars for the firm's clients.
