About Monique Centeno
Monique Centeno joined Patterson Legal Group in 2021, bringing extensive experience from both the bench and plaintiff-side practice. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District of Kansas, where she presided over trials and issued rulings with a compassionate approach to all litigants. Before serving as a judge, Monique was a trial attorney at Wall Huntington Trial Law, where she represented individuals and families in medical malpractice, wrongful death, race and gender discrimination, bus collisions, auto accidents, and homeowner negligence cases. She graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2005, where she developed a passion for trial advocacy. After law school, she represented clients facing serious felony charges, termination of parental rights proceedings, and consumer protection matters. Outside the office, Monique volunteers as a Commissioner on the State of Kansas Commission on Racial Equity and Justice, mentors students at the high school, college, and law school levels, and distributes food to people in need through Common Ground and the Salvation Army.
