About Laura Beth York

Laura Beth York moved to Arkansas at age 10 and grew up in Conway. She attended Hendrix College in Conway for her undergraduate degree, then earned her J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 2004. After graduation she moved to South Carolina with her husband, practicing at Legal Aid for nearly two years, then returned to Arkansas when her father suffered a career-ending workplace injury during her first year of law school. That experience directed her to workers' compensation, and she worked at the Arkansas Workers' Compensation Commission writing Full Commission opinions before joining Rainwater, Holt & Sexton. She is licensed in Arkansas (2006), South Carolina (2004-2013), and Tennessee (2024).
