James Rosenberg

James Rosenberg is a Concord native and the Chair of the firm's Criminal Defense Practice Group. He earned his B.A. from American University (1996) and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law (1999). He began his career in the litigation department of Testa, Hurwitz, and Thibeault in Boston, then joined the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office where he ultimately served in the Homicide Unit, appearing in every Superior Court in the state. His private practice focuses on criminal defense, white-collar defense, and DWI matters in state and federal courts. He has been named Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers six times, in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2026, and is the only criminal defense attorney in New Hampshire named in Best Lawyers across all three criminal defense categories.
