Jonathan Cantarero

Jonathan Cantarero is a mesothelioma attorney at Sokolove Law. He built his legal career around motion practice and appellate work, and he brings that experience to every asbestos case he handles. Before joining Sokolove Law, Jonathan served as an assistant district attorney in the Appeals Bureau of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and as an appellate court attorney for the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division. This background gives him a sharp eye for the legal strategy behind a case, which he uses to hold asbestos-related companies accountable for concealing the dangers of their products. He is committed to helping families during one of the most difficult times in their lives through compassion, clear communication, and dedicated advocacy. Jonathan also reflects his commitment to others through extensive volunteer work with organizations including New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI), Mental Hygiene Legal Services, and La Cosecha Community Center. Jonathan earned his J.D. from City University of New York School of Law, where he was Executive Articles Editor of the CUNY Law Review. He is a member of the New York bar.
